There just simply is no other word one can use to describe Fire Island Pines other than…magical.
When styling and preparing their home for the warm summer days, weekend guests and special oceanfront events, it was all about simplicity. This is a beach house, walking off the beach with sand on your feet and a wet bathing suit is given, nothing can be too precious.
Event Styling…
When my clients asked me to style some events, this one was a sit-down birthday dinner for 30. To accomodate that many guests, I had to mix all the available dinnerware that they had. Hydrangeas are his favorite flower and candlelight completed the mood for this special event. I loved layering all the different stoneware and linen napkins, building off blue as the base color, inspired by the ocean only feet away. And of course we had to create a special room specifically designed to store all of their stoneware and various entertaining items for easy access anytime.
The location on the beach just naturally gives itself to entertaining. These clients are often approached regarding their home here, to collaborate with brands for social media launches, and you can see why. Not only did we style this launch event for them, but there was also a dinner planned poolside with the ocean as a backdrop.
